Modeling (and optimization) of offshore wind farms
Renewable energies are becoming increasingly important. In our workshop, we look at energy generation by modeling offshore wind farms and ask ourselves how best to build them in order to generate as much energy as possible. In particular, we will look at the problem of WAKE behind a turbine.
Duration: two double hours
Contents: Mathematical modeling, inequalities, if-loops, intersection of geometric shapes
Prior knowledge: linear growth, area calculations, especially circular area, ability to calculate intersections, percentage calculation
Target group: from 9th grade
