Welcome at CAMMP

CAMMP (Computational and Mathematical Modelling Programme) is an extracurricular project in which pupils of different ages work together with teachers in various workshop and event formats to actively tackle real and socially relevant problems. The focus is on mathematical modelling and the use of computer-aided methods. The issues addressed come from everyday life, industry or research and make the social significance of (school) mathematics and simulation sciences tangible.

CAMMP was founded in 2011 as a student laboratory at RWTH Aachen University. In January 2018, the programme was also introduced at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where it is funded as part of the Simulated Worlds project. Since 2023, CAMMP has also been represented at the University of Salzburg, and since this year at the University of Stuttgart. CAMMP thus has locations at RWTH Aachen University, KIT in Karlsruhe, the University of Stuttgart and the University of Salzburg, and also works closely with the Simulated Worlds project at the University of Stuttgart.
